Is your elderly loved one not remembering to take their medications or to eat regularly?  Have you noticed a decline in their personal care or ability to remember?  Are you worried that they might suffer a fall while alone?

If so, there are a limited number of ways for an elderly person to receive more care:

  1. stay at home and receive in-home care
  2. move to an assisted-living facility, also known as residential care
  3. move to a skilled-nursing facility

While there are pros and cons to each of these choices, we believe that our intimate Victorian Residential Care Homes are often the best choice:

Assisted Living at Victorian Residential Homes
  • Our 24-hour awake staff ensures that our residents have all their needs met, from nutritious meals to assistance in the middle of the night.  These needs may not be met if someone is living alone, and assistance from outside sources on an hourly basis is costly, and may pose a risk of abuse to a vulnerable elderly person.

  • We can offer much of the same care as a skilled nursing facility, at literally half the cost.  We have found that many elderly residents of skilled nursing facilities can get all the care they need at Victorian.

  • In contrast to many other assisted-living and residential care facilities, we have a regular monthly rate with no add-ons or extra charges.  With the exception of incontinence care supplies, you will never be surprised by additional charges regularly assessed by other facilities.  It is a matter of principle for us, and we think it fosters a better working relationship between us and the families of our residents.

  • Unlike a large, impersonal facility, our homes feel like real houses - cozy, warm, and elegant.  This “boutique” approach, with only 6-10 residents per house, allows us to provide personalized care to each resident, and for our residents to feel comfortable in their environment.

  • Victorian Residential Care Homes is a family-owned and operated company, started by Meg Conners for her grandmother, who was the first resident.  Meg is now joined by her daughter, Julie, who runs day-to-day operations.  This family-based atmosphere runs throughout the homes, further enhancing our residents’ comfort and enjoyment of their surroundings.
